Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), also know as Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) is based on the awareness that the body is a wholly integrated system and that its structural health has a direct effect on its function. This fosters a holistic approach to the patient which promotes general well-being, enhances the body's inherent ability to heal itself, and optimizes the effects of the treatment plans prescribed by your primary physician.

The treating Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) is a physician who has a number of different types of treatment techniques available. The greater portion of treatments are gentle, non-traumatic and pain-free. When appropriate, the physician uses "hands on" methods to relieve musculoskeletal pain and restrictions. Patients are always evaluated first to determine all current problems and whether OMT is appropriate.

All treatment techniques are designed to restore and optimize the body's function and health. This may involve treatment of restricted bones, joints, ligaments and muscles. It may also involve treatment of the nervous system (cranio-sacral), treatment of internal organs (visceral), treatment of the  lymphatic system and other aspects of the body's functions.

The Osteopathic Treatment Center is accepting new patients.
